It Pays off

Most of you know that I am back in school to get my teaching licensure while working in a field with my first degree. I am essentially one of many liasons between the DNA bank on Duke's campus and the clinicians of specific studies that house their samples with the bank.  My boss came to me today to let me know that a clinician made it known that she enjoyed working with me because I am always so nice to her.  To kind of ride on a post that one of my favorite bloggers did yesterday (Major Must Haves), as a person who is genuinely nice to everyone you will always encounter those who take advantage of that.  The great thing though you will always come across people who honestly appreciate it.  This isn't the first time this clinician has said something, before she has pulled me aside and let me know her feelings and even brung me some snacks (which I gladly accepted, im somewhat of a fatty) to express her thanks.  This just reinforces staying true to who you are not changing because of a few bad apples you run across.  So thank you Miss Christine Bard for expressing your thanks and gratitude!
