DIY distressed Vest

Lately I have been undertaking a few DIY projects under my wings.  I was in the process of completing a skirt when I ran out of fabric, hence the quick "pick-up" DIY project which is this vest.  I am an avid Gap shopper, they have THE BEST SALES EVER IN LIFE, plus I used to work there so I am a bit biased. I make sure I stop by there ANYTIME I hit the mall, you never know what you will find.  I also hit the kids side too because I can fit some of the things there as well.  Last year I went in to find jeans for my son and came across this demin jacket that was marked down to $10 bucks and I just had to have it. I have only worn it once (here) before deciding I need to make it HOT so I can wear it again, so at about 11:45 last night I had an epiphany, I'll make it into a vest and use those studs I bought at hobby lobby, here is the outcome

showing you the sleeves with the jacket laid out

Moved the sleeves out of the way so you can see the front of the vest

this is after I cut the sleeves off, distressed patches in the front and added the studs

I am pretty happy with the outcome especially seeing as though its my first time using studs

Rocking my little creation
